Canoe-Kayak Descents

During the summer heat in the Luberon, a canoe-kayak descent is a must! What better way to cool off while engaging in outdoor activities…

There are two rivers suitable for canoeing-kayaking in the Luberon: the Durance and the Sorgue.

Stretching over 324km, the Durance is the largest river in Provence. To dip into it or navigate in your canoe, you’ll need to head to the south side of Luberon. AFDA Canoë offers two courses, an 8km one suitable for families and those who want to take their time enjoying the fauna, flora, and landscapes, and an 18km one, more challenging and perfect for thrill-seekers.

The Sorgue, on the other hand, is an unusual river with a rich historical, ecological, and landscape diversity. You can explore it with two providers offering guided tours from Fontaine de Vaucluse to L’isle sur la Sorgue. Here, refreshment is guaranteed with water temperatures around 13 degrees, even in summer!

In any case, these water adventures will allow you to experience Luberon in a different way and will leave you anything but indifferent!
